About the Owner
Brian Puryear has always had a passion for the great outdoors. In 2002, the childhood dreams of learning taxidermy became real when he was able to take Bibles Taxidermy’s General Taxidermy Course. By 2004, Brian had a part time taxidermy business in North Carolina and operated it until 2009 when his family moved to East TN.
For 10yrs he only did taxidermy for a few select friends and family. In 2019, after buying a property in Greeneville TN, located about 5 miles from where he initially learned the taxidermy trade with Tony Bible, the itch hit to start a part time taxidermy business with his sons, which he named Puryear Brothers Taxidermy. It didn’t take long to see a great need for high quality taxidermy in this area! In 2020, Brian continued his taxidermy education with a 1 on 1 class with world champion taxidermist, Harold McGuire.
With the fall season of 2021 bringing in over 130 active client projects, it was decided to change the name to Dynamic Taxidermy and make a push for a full time taxidermy business!
In July 2022, Brian stepped away from his day job and turned Dynamic Taxidermy in to a full time Taxidermy Studio.
